Aimee Vaccarelli

        Aimee has been an AFAA-Certified Personal Trainer since 2003 and began working at Forever Fit in 2004.  Her areas of expertise include weight training, plyometrics (a type of athletic conditioning that uses explosive movements like jumping or weighted ball throwing and catching to develop muscle power) and interval training.  Aimee also specializes in workouts that target the core and Pilates mat exercises.  Aimee's clients are never bored and often rave about the creative and innovative workouts that Aimee perosnally designs for them to challenge them and keep things fresh and fun.  Aimee's natural energy, enthusiasm, upbeat personality and positive attitude make her an ideal motivator.  She is extremely supportive and encouraging of all those around her.

          Aimee is a Professional Figure Competitor and has competed in several National Physique Committee (NPC) figure competitions and International Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (INBF) shows.  She earned her World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) Pro Card in 2007, and has appeared in the WNBF Magazine, "Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness."

          "You're only as strong as your weakest link when you train your body," says Aimee.  She feels that it is important to include all of your body parts and change your workouts frequently to see the best results.  Aimee also believes that training your body regularly is a lifestyle.  "I motivate my clients to strive for balance in their lives through exercise and healthy living."

          When she's not working, Aimee spends time with her beautiful daughter Eva and enjoys long distance running, having successfully completed the Long Island Half Marathon and several 10K runs, including the Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run and the Shelter Island 10K.  Aimee is CPR/AED-certified and current in fitness health and safety.

Catherine Stratton, RD, CDN

          Catherine is a recognized leader in both the fitness and nutrition fields.  She is a Registered Dietitian, a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of New York.  Catherine graduated cum laude from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foods and Nutrition.  After completing an internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, she began a career in clinical dietetics and food service management.  During her seven-year tenure at Massapequa General Hospital in Seaford, New York, Catherine spent her first four years as Chief Dietitian, and was then promoted to Director of Food Services.  She currently provides sports nutrition and fitness counseling services for both members and nonmembers alike, for both recreational and competitive athletes.  Catherine also frequently presents wellness seminars on weight management and physical activity in various local communities.

          Since 1990, Catherine has been an AFAA-Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer.  In 1991, she opened Forever Fit as co-owner with Helene Atkinson.  In 1997, Catherine became a Reebok-Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor, and in 2004, she became a Mad Dogg-Certified Spinning Instructor.  Catherine has also been an ACSM-Certified Health Fitness Specialist since 2004.  Whether teaching a group exercise class or working one-on-one as a Personal Trainer, she ensures that her clients get a safe, effective and challenging workout.  Her combined expertise in the fields of both nutrition and fitness provides her clients with the tools they need to manage their weight, look great and feel even better!

          Catherine's personal athletic accomplishments include competitive biathlons and triathlons, hiking the Grand Canyon, and two New York City Marathons.  Since 2005, she has completed four century bicycle rides with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Catherine is CPR/AED-certified and current in fitness health and safety.

Jane McGoldrick
          Jane, one of the original members of Forever Fit, decided to pursue a career in fitness after realizing that exercise reduced her stress and changed her body shape.  Jane is an ACSM-Certified Health Fitness Specialist, an FiTour-Certified Pilates Instructor, and a Mad Dogg-Certified Spinning Instructor.

          After working in the industry for a few years, Jane realized that she wanted a higher knowledge of exercise science and thus obtained a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.  "The program was grueling at times, but worth it," says Jane.  "I love using my advanced knowledge of exercise science and biomechanics to help my clients achieve optimum fitness and wellness."

          Jane has worked with a wide variety of clients, from cardiac patients to professional athletes, having conducted fitness assessments for the New York Islanders as part of a graduate school internship.  She also trains other personal trainers as a Continuing Education Provider for the American Council on Exercise.  Jane has been a guest speaker for WomenHeart, a national coalition for women with heart disease, and has appeared as a guest speaker for the National Council on Aging to discuss issues related to senior fitness and wellness.  Jane has also managed a Cardiopulmonary Wellness Program and participated in corporate wellness fairs.

          Jane's focus with her clients and in her classes is always to help people achieve their fitness goals in a manner that is safe and effective.  Her expertise in the field of fitness is evident to all those who work with her.

Jeannie Tomlinson
          Jeannie has been a fitness instructor at Forever Fit since 2002.  She is an AFAA-Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer, as well as a Mad Dogg-Certified Spinning Instructor.  Her specialty is focusing on the core and workouts designed to slim down and tone up the whole body.

          Jeannie's objective is to maximize the time you invest at the gym by encouraging you to work multiple parts of your body simultaneously.  She believes that your workout is about not only the physical benefits, but the mental health benefits as well.  Like many of us, Jeannie looks to exercise for stress relief and peace of mind.  She personally is driven to exercise to build her energy level to keep up with her three active boys.  Jeannie is an avid runner and in 2008, she successfully completed her first New York City Marathon.

Louise Thomesen-Kelly

          Louise is an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer.  She has been an active and loyal member of Forever Fit since it first opened its doors in 1991 and a fitness enthusiast her whole life.  Her background includes both dance and gymnastics.  Those who take Louise's classes or train with her find her positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm to be infectious.  She is a naturally upbeat and encouraging person.  In addition to teaching and training at Forever Fit, Louise is also a dedicated tennis player.
